Alicia Silverstone is pregnant. The ‘Clueless’ actress is to have her first child with husband, musician Christopher Jarecki, it was announced last night (14.01.11).
The 34-year-old actress has not said when her due date is, but was spotted trying to hide a “considerable” baby bump as she dined in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, on Thursday (13.01.11). Alicia told how she has longed for a baby last year, saying: “I’ve been wanting to have a baby since I was two years old – I’m destined to be a mother.”
She also explained how appearing in stage play ‘Time Stands Still’ in New York last year – where she played a pregnant lady – only served to increase her broodiness.
She said: “Wearing a pregnancy suit was so much fun. I loved the feeling of pretending to be pregnant and having little arms and legs and this big belly.”
Alicia and Chris, 40, wed in June 2005 in California after eight years together.
As well as acting Alicia has also written a vegan cookbook ‘The Kind Diet’, and is presently working on three films, ‘Vamps’ ,’Butter’ and ‘Homework’.
