Scarlett Johansson lost in a bidding war for Hugh Jackman’s sweaty shirt. ‘X-Men: First Class’ actor Hugh is starring in his one man show ‘Hugh Jackman Back on Broadway’ in the New York theatre district, and after finishing his performance on Tuesday he auctioned off the garment for charity. According to the New York Post newspaper, after giving a shout out to his friends Uma Thurman and Scarlett, who were in the crowd, the latter – dressed in a chunky sweater, woolly hat and glasses – ran onstage and bid $3,000. However, she was soon outbid, and the shirt eventually fetched a mammoth $30,000.

During Hugh’s show he performed with six female back-up dancer/singers, an 18-piece orchestra, and at one point, a quartet of Indigenous Australian vocalists and didgeridoo players.

Scarlett and Hugh are not the only celebrities to team up for charity this year, as recently Lady Gaga posed naked for crooner Tony Bennett after they recorded a song for his ‘Duets II’ album, which was then auctioned off via internet auction site eBay.

Of their drawing session, Gaga, 25, said: “I walked in and said, ‘Well Tony here we are,’ and I dropped my robe and I got into position. I felt shy and thought, ‘It’s Tony Bennett, why am I naked?’

“Oh Tony he’s so handsome. I feel terrible whenever his wife is around because he is so charming and such a gentleman.”
