Beyonce Knowles spent £9,000 in a 90-minute shopping spree. The ‘Run the World (Girls)’ hitmaker – who is married to rapper Jay-Z – stunned onlookers in London’s Oxford Street yesterday (12.07.11) when she spent £5,000 in the city’s flagship Topshop store before moving on to Selfridges, where she added another £4,000 to her clothing bill.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “It was like that shopping scene out of the film ‘Pretty Woman’.

“Everyone was gobsmacked by the speed she was choosing clothes. When she hit the shoe section she picked up even more speed. The woman clearly loves footwear.”

Last month, Beyonce splashed out on 25 pairs of designer shoes as a 25th birthday gift for her sister Solange.

Beyonce, 29, is known for her generosity towards her loved ones, last year she treated Jay-Z to a $2 million Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport car – the world’s fastest road vehicle – for his 41st birthday on December 4.

The ’99 Problems’ rapper – who already has a vast car collection, was thrilled with the surprise speedy gift, which Beyonce had to order a year in advance.
