Ed Westwick is too busy to celebrate Valentine’s Day (14.02.11) this year. The ‘Chalet Girl’ actor won’t have any time for dating or romance because he will be working hard on the set of his TV show ‘Gossip Girl’.

When asked if he had any plans for the day, he replied: “No, no no, I think I’ll probably be working. It falls on a Monday so …”

However, Ed insists he doesn’t mind sacrificing his personal time for the series – in which he plays rich society boy Chuck Bass.

Speaking on the red carpet at the world premiere of his new film ‘Chalet Girl’ at London’s Vue Westfield cinema yesterday (08.02.11), he told BANG Showbiz: “Why would I care? I’m having a fantastic time, I’ve got a great character in a great cast and I’m in New York City.”

The 23-year-old heartthrob – who used to date his co-star Jessica Szohr – also revealed that he was trying to “maximize” his time so he can get involved with as many different projects as possible.

Joining Ed at the premiere were his ‘Chalet Girl’ co-stars Bill Bailey, Felicity Jones and Tamsin Egerton.
