Lady Gaga spent her childhood listening to her mum and dad have sex. The ‘Marry the Night’ hitmaker – who grew up in an apartment in New York’s Upper West Side – explained she could her “everything” her parents were up to, as there were no doors in her home. She said: “My parents’ room and the one I shared with my sister were on the top floor. There are no doors on the bedrooms. My parents could hear everything me and my sister said growing up. And I heard them too!” The 25-year-old singer – real name Stefani Germanotta – loves being with her parents, but admitted “domestication” frightens her.
Speaking while turning on the Christmas lights at New York’s Madison Square Garden, she added: “I love being with my parents, but I also really fear domestication. I just don’t have a home. I stay between my friends’ places and my parents’.”
Gaga has previously admitted she has inherited her wild streak from her father Joe, who one hired a stripper to teach her the piano and used to enjoy al fresco romps with random women.
She has said: “He was having sex with girls under the boardwalk in New Jersey before he went to see Bruce Springsteen.
“He saw a lot of himself in me. My first piano teacher was a stripper. My dad told me later. I used to say to her, ‘Why do you have such long nails?’ She just said, ‘Someday you’ll understand why.’ “
